Summary
The Geotechnical Group Endowment Travel Scholarship is awarded to graduate researchers who are enrolled in a graduate research degree in the geotechnical field in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology and are undertaking travel related to their research.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be enrolled in a graduate research degree in the Faculty of Engineering and IT
- Be undertaking research in the geotechnical field
- Have completed the equivalent of at least one year of candidature
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the candidate(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their application.
Preference will be given to candidates who will be undertaking international travel if ranked in the top 75% of eligible applicants.
In the interest of equitable distribution of scholarships, other scholarships or prizes received from the University by the candidates are considered.
Conditions
Recipients must:
- Undertake the travel for which the funding within 12 months of funding being granted
- Agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a brief report on the activities undertaken using the scholarship funds.

How to apply
You must submit an application and include:
- details of the proposed travel, including an itinerary and itemised budget
- personal statement addressing the benefit of travel for their research outcomes and their faculty.
Please note: Applicants approved for travel are required to register for Study Away.
When will I know the outcome?
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application approximately eight weeks after the application close date.
