  • Eligibility & selection criteria


    To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

    • be enrolled in a research higher degree in the Melbourne School of Engineering
    • be a member of the geotechnical group working in soil mechanics and foundations engineering, geothermal engineering, environmental geomechanics, or any other geotechnically related area
    • have completed at least one year candidature

    Selection criteria

    • Merit of the field trip or planned activities
    • Impact of travel on the applicant's PhD
    • Reputation of hosting organisation
    • Strength of applicant's research
    • A reasonable budget
    • Ambassadorial potential of the experience for the Melbourne School of Engineering
  • Application process

    Submit an online application via the Melbourne School of Engineering current students website.

  • When will I know the outcome?

    All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application approximately two to four weeks after the application close date.
