The Derek Prinsley Prize for Geriatric Medicine is supported by the Australia and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine (ANZSGM) - Victoria Division, and is offered to students who provide the best answer to the Aged Care prize question in the Aged Care Prize viva exam.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this prize you must be enrolled in your fourth year in the Doctor of Medicine and be invited to participate in the Aged Care Prize viva exam.

Eligible Doctor of Medicine students will be invited to participate in their fourth year based on their Aged Care term results from Principles of Clinical Practice 3.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the student who is regarded by all the members of the viva examining panel as having given the best answer to the Aged Care prize question in the Aged Care Prize viva exam.
