Summary
The Going Rural Health Placement Support Payment is funded by the Australian Government and is offered to domestic students who are undertaking a rural placement as a requirement of an enrolled nursing, allied health or health sciences degree at any Australian University.
Benefits
The bursary provides a weekly allowance of up to $150, based on your placement duration. This is a one-off payment, paid on completion of the placement.

Eligibility
To be considered for this bursary, you must:
- Students must be Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of Australia (including holders of an Australian permanent visa)
- Be enrolled in a nursing, allied health or other health science undergraduate or postgraduate degree
- Completing a placement within the Going Rural Health footprint
- The placement duration must be a minimum of 2 weeks full-time (4 or more days per week)
