Summary
The Graduate Research Scholarship in Scleroderma was established with a gift from an anonymous donor and is offered to domestic students who have a medical qualification, are enrolling in a graduate research degree and intend to undertake research in the field of Scleroderma at the Melbourne Medical School (St Vincent’s Hospital).
Benefits
This scholarship provides a fortnightly stipend with a rate of $50,000 per year (full-time pro rata rate) for up to two years for Masters by Research, or up to 3.5 years for the Doctor of Philosophy.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Have applied for and meet entry requirements for a research higher degree in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences in the field of Scleroderma
- Have an existing medical qualification as recognised by both the Australian Medical Council and the World Directory of Medical Schools.
- Be conducting your research at St Vincent's Hospital
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to eligible students who are ranked highest by the selection panel based on their personal statement, entry score, and research proposal.
When determining the successful candidate for this this award, other awards received by candidates are considered.
Conditions
This scholarship is subject to the MDHS Graduate Research Trust Scholarships Terms and Conditions and cannot be deferred. In addition, students must continue to undertake research in Scleroderma, and make satisfactory academic progress at each progress review milestone.
