Summary

The Grathelms Piano Award was established with a gift from Neil McGrath and is offered to talented students enrolled in the Bachelor of Music (Performance) or Master of Music (Music Performance) specialising in Piano who are experiencing immediate disadvantaged circumstances. Preference is given to students who are commencing the penultimate or final year of their degree.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this award, you must:

  • Be enrolled in the Bachelor of Music (Performance) or Master of Music (Music Performance) (or their successors) and specialising in Piano.

Selection criteria

The award is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their course-weighted average, artistic performance and financial assessment score. Preference is given to students who are commencing the penultimate or final year of their degree if ranked fifth or higher.

Conditions

Students must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
