This biennial scholarship is awarded to the most outstanding postgraduate thesis in mathematics, with preference given to areas of logic, set theory, measure theory or related topics passed by examiners within the previous two calendar years.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • Complete a Master or Doctor of Philosophy Science at the University of Melbourne in a discipline aligned to Mathematics, within the previous two calendar years.

    Preference will be given to students who undertake substantial research in a discipline aligned to logic, set theory, measure theory or related topics.

    Selection criteria

    Eligible candidates will be ranked based on:

    • Impact of Research,
    • Examiner reports from international experts,
    • Publication in elite journals.
