The Greg Hjorth Memorial Prize is awarded to graduate researchers who have completed a Master or Doctor of Philosophy Science in a discipline aligned to Mathematics with the most outstanding postgraduate thesis in mathematics. Preference will be given to graduate researchers who undertake substantial research in a discipline aligned to logic, set theory, measure theory or related topics.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this prize, you must have completed a Master or Doctor of Philosophy Science at the University of Melbourne in a discipline aligned to Mathematics, within the previous two calendar years.

Preference will be given to graduate researchers who undertake substantial research in a discipline aligned to logic, set theory, measure theory or related topics.

Selection criteria

The prize is offered to the graduate researcher(s) ranked highest based on their Impact of Research, Examiner reports from international experts and Publication in elite journals.
