The Harry Hains Memorial Film Bursary was established with a gift from the Portland House Foundation and is offered to students who are enrolled in the Film and Television discipline and require financial support with their film or screen project.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this bursary, you must be enrolled in the final year of the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film and Television) or Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours (Film and Television) or any year of the Master of Film and Television.

Selection criteria

The bursary is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their personal statement, financial need score and Weighted Average Mark.

Conditions

Recipients must agree to give permission for the University to provide their name and course details to the donor of their scholarship and to provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.

You must submit an application with a personal statement outlining the details of their film or screen project, including a budget, and the Student Financial Assessment form.
