These bursaries support the graduating film project for final year students enrolled in the Masters, Honours or Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film and Television) degrees at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music who are in financial need.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • be enrolled as a final year student in the Masters, Honours or Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film and Television) degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music and demonstrate financial need

    Selection criteria

    Eligible applicants will be assessed on artistic and academic merit and financial need.  The bursary is intended to support the graduating film project and so receipts may be requested to identify your expenditure.

  • Application process

    This application is greatly assisted if you also apply for the separate Student Financial Assistance Application. Only do this if you didn't already apply for this in round 1 which closed 10 March 2024. This will open for application on 1 May and close 4 August 2024 and is entirely separate to this Hains application.

  • When will I know the outcome?

    Applicants can expect an outcome four weeks after the scholarships closing date.

What are the benefits?

A single payment of approximately between $1000 and $5000, depending on the number of recipients. A single award of $10000 will be made to one Master of Film and TV student.
