Summary
In 2019 the Heart Foundation created the "Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Awards" for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups/individuals who want to work/undertake research in cardiovascular health. Funding is provided for Australia's best and brightest researchers to explore a wide range of issues around heart disease, including areas relevant to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
