The Hugh and Selina Williams Scholarship was established with a gift from Hugh and Selina Williams and is awarded to domestic students who are enrolled in the final year of a masters degree in the School of Computing and Information Systems, identify as women and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances.
About the donor
Hugh and Selina Williams are Co-Founders of CS in Schools, an Australian charity creating sustainable change in Australian digital technology education. CS in Schools help to create relevant and meaningful education by building industry connections with schools, providing a complete DigiTech pathway for all secondary students, and developing teacher confidence to teach digital technology.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident
- Identify as a woman (cis-gender and transwomen)
- Be enrolled in one of the Master of Computer Science, Master of Information Systems, Master of Information Technology, or Master of Software Engineering (or their successors)
- Have 100 points or fewer remaining in your degree.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the eligible candidate(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their application.
In the interest of equitable distribution of scholarships, other scholarships or awards received from the University by applicants are considered.
Conditions
Recipients must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
