Summary
The Ian Ramsay Maxwell Travelling Scholarship was established with bequests from Patricia Clarice Karas, and is awarded to graduates of the University of Melbourne who are undertaking graduate study or research at an institution outside Australia.
Benefits
A living allowance of up to $14,000 per year for the duration of the overseas study, paid in two instalments, usually in May and October.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- be a graduate of the University of Melbourne
- have applied for a graduate coursework or research degree at an institution outside Australia
- not have completed a course of study at the same or higher level as the proposed overseas study
Selection criteria
This scholarship is offered to the applicant(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their application, financial position and results for prior study.
