The Memorial Prize in Veterinary Surgery has been awarded each year since 1967, and came from a donation to commemorate those veterinary graduates who gave their lives in the two world wars. The prize is given to the new graduate who, in the opinion of the clinical staff, has demonstrated the most outstanding skills in surgery.
