Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be confirmed as a PhD candidate in the School of Physics
- Provide a short statement of endorsement from your supervisor
- Be undertaking travel for a research related purpose. If you are requesting conference funds, you must be presenting research results.
Note: Graduate Researchers need to apply for Study Away if travelling for research-related activities away from the University.
Selection criteria
In determining the scholarship, the selection committee will consider:
- The benefit of the proposed travel and impact on the student’s progress;
- Student need, and whether any alternative funding sources are available.
The scholarship is made with preference for:
- Students who have not previously traveled as part of their PhD program;
- International travel.
