The John A McKenzie/Selby Scientific Foundation Award was established in honour of Professor Emeritus John McKenzie and is offered to students who achieved the highest mark for the major in Genetics and are enrolling in a bachelor degree with honours or masters degree in Genetics.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this award, you must:
- Be enrolled in the Bachelor of Science (Honours), Bachelor of Biomedicine (Honours) or Master of Science in the discipline of Genetics
- Have completed a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Biomedicine (or their successors) with a major in Genetics.
Selection criteria
The award is offered to the student(s) ranked highest based on their weighted average mark for the major in Genetics. In the event of a tie, the award will be split equally.
Conditions
Students must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
