The John Beaton Prize was established with a gift from the Beaton family and is awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional teamwork and achieve excellent results for the subjects Masters Advanced Software Project Part 1 and Part 2.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this prize, you must:

  • Have completed the subject Masters Advanced Software Project Part 1
  • Have completed the subject Masters Advanced Software Project Part 2 in the award year.

Selection criteria

The prize is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on demonstrated teamwork in class and consistency of performance over both semesters as observed by the Subject Coordinators and final mark for subject. Masters Advanced Software Project Part 1 and Masters Advanced Software Project Part 2.

Conditions

Students must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
