Summary

The Jubilee Scholarship was established with a gift from an anonymous donor and is awarded to students who are enrolled in the third or fourth year of the Doctor of Medicine and are experiencing immediate financial disadvantage. Preference is given to students who are allocated to the Western Clinical School.

Benefits

This scholarship provides a living allowance of $6000 for one year, paid in equal instalments of $3000 in April and September.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine
  • Have completed at least 200 credit points of study.

Selection criteria

The scholarship is offered to the eligible candidate(s) ranked highest based on their financial need using the approved University Student Financial Assessment process.

Preference will be given to candidates who are allocated to the Western Clinical School if ranked thirtieth or higher.

Conditions

This scholarship cannot be deferred. Recipients must agree to the University providing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation and a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship by submitting an official statement of thanks.

You must submit the Student Financial Assessment Form (Round one) and, if shortlisted, provide a personal statement addressing how your current financial circumstances are impacting your studies.
