This scholarship supports students who have completed at least one year of full-time study of violin, viola or cello who have an ambition to make music their career. Shortlisted applicants are invited to submit a recording of their playing and attend an online interview.

Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- have completed at least one year of full-time study of violin, viola or cello
- intend to make music your career
Selection criteria
Applicants will be shortlisted for audition and interview with a small selection panel. Shortlisted applicants are asked to perform an unaccompanied piece of about 5 minutes duration and answer some questions relating to their performance aspirations and financial need. Eligible applicants will be assessed on:
- artistic merit
- academic merit
- career aspirations
- financial need
- the likely success in completing the proposed course of study.

How to apply
Apply online at this page. The link will become visible below only during the application open phase.
When will I know the outcome?
Applicants can expect an outcome four weeks after the scholarships closing date. Shortlisted applicants will be requested to submit via email a recorded short performance (5 minutes, unaccompanied) and invited to a 15-minute interview to be held via Zoom. The interview will take place around June, with the video submission due by the week proceeding.
