Eligibility
To be considered for this grant, you must:
- Be enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy – Science and be undertaking research in the field of native Australian animals.
Selection criteria
The grant is offered to the graduate researcher(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their application.
Conditions
Graduate researchers must:
- Undertake the fieldwork for which the funding was awarded
- Provide a short report on how the grant supported the research project and how the funding was spent. Unspent funds may need to be returned
- Agree to acknowledge the funding source in their research outputs.

- Project summary including budget
- Personal statement addressing how the project fits within the aim of supporting research projects concerning Australian animals, how the funding will stimulate a new avenue of research or benefit their career, and the likely impact of the research outcomes.
