Summary
The KPMG Michael Andrew Scholarship was established with a gift from KPMG to honour the late Dr Michael J Andrew AO and is offered to domestic students who are enrolling in a Bachelor of Commerce who have completed their secondary schooling in a regional or remote area of Australia and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances.
Benefits
This scholarship provides a living allowance of $10,000 per year for three years, paid in instalments of $5000 in April and September.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold an Australian permanent visa
- Have completed Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate in Australia
- Not have completed subjects undertaken as part of a tertiary course (excludes extension program subjects)
- Have applied for the University of Melbourne Bachelor of Commerce via VTAC and submitted a VTAC Equity Schemes and scholarships application (formerly SEAS) under the categories Personal Information and Location and Disadvantaged financial background (and under other categories if applicable to your circumstances) for commencement in the year following completion of Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate
- Meet the Access Melbourne entry requirements for the Bachelor of Commerce.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest using the approved VTAC Access Melbourne scholarships selection process. In the event of a tie, more or fewer scholarships will be offered.
Conditions
This scholarship is subject to the Faculty of Business and Economics Scholarships Terms and Conditions, and cannot be deferred to the following academic year. In addition, students must pass all subjects and achieve a weighted average result of at least 65 in each half-year study period.
