Summary

The Law Jessup Moot Bursary was established with a gift from multiple donors including Corrs Chambers Westgarth and is awarded to students who are intending to undertake the Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and are experiencing financial difficulties.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this bursary, you must:

  • Be enrolled in the Juris Doctor in the year for which the scholarship is awarded
  • Be enrolled in the subject Jessup Moot (or its successor).

Selection criteria

The bursary is offered to the eligible student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their financial assessment score and application.

In the interest of equitable distribution of scholarships, other scholarship or prizes received from the University by students are considered.

Conditions

Recipients must:

  • Undertake the subject in the year the award is made
  • Agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation and a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
