Summary
The Law Young Alumni Scholarship is offered to domestic students who are enrolling in the Juris Doctor and who are experiencing an impairment or disability and disadvantaged circumstances.
About the donor
Since 2019, the Young Alumni Scholarship has been awarded to a Melbourne Law School student with a disability or long-term illness and a demonstrated financial need. The scholarship was founded by recent graduates of MLS to provide an avenue for alumni to give back to the institution and support students, as future members of the profession in their earliest years. The purpose of the scholarship is to not only assist the student recipient financially but to welcome them into the legal profession. Students are able to spend the scholarship as they wish, whether that be alleviating the cost of living, purchasing course material or professional attire for interviews and events.

The scholarship provides a living allowance of $10,000 per year for three years, paid in instalments of $5,000 in April and September.
