The Lewis Prize was estabilshed by the late James Monaham Lewis, whose main interest in dental science was in the specialty of periodontics.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this prize, you must:
- Be enrolled in the Doctor of Dental Surgery, and
- Have completed the subject Dental Practice 2
Selection criteria
This prize is awarded annually to the student with the highest mark in the Periodontics and General Practice components of Dental Practice 2, as determined at the end of year Board of Examiners meeting.
