The Lindsay and Alice Gamble Scholarship was established with a gift from Lindsay Gamble and is offered to graduate researchers enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy (Science) in the field of Agricultural Sciences who are experiencing financial need.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered, you must:

  • Be enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy (Science) (or its successor)
  • Be undertaking research in the field of Agricultural Science
  • Have met the requirements for confirmation of your candidature

Selection criteria

The scholarship is offered to the graduate researcher(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on the quality of their application and their financial need score. In the interests of equitable distribution of scholarships, other scholarships received by applicants will be taken into consideration.

Conditions

This scholarship is subject to the University’s Graduate Research Scholarship Terms and Conditions and cannot be deferred. In addition, graduate researchers must:

  • Agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.

How to apply

You must submit the University Student Financial Assessment form and an application including:

  • Personal statement addressing the purpose of and commitment to your research
  • Curriculum vitae including leadership experience, publications or presentations related to your field of research
  • Statement of support from your supervisor

When will I know the outcome?

  • Round 1 (Jan-March applications): May-July
  • Round 2 (June-August applications): September-October
