Lizette Bentwitch Scholarship
This scholarship alternates between graduates of Arts and Fine Arts and Music to support overseas study. In 2022, it will be open to graduates who have been awarded a degree with honours, in any branch of the humanities, by the Faculty of Arts at the University of Melbourne.

Eligibility & selection criteria
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- for the 2022 Faculty of Arts round: be a current or former student awarded a degree with honours from any branch of the humanities within the Faculty of Arts at the University of Melbourne.
Selection criteria
The recipient of the scholarship will be determined after considering the applicant's proposed program of study and estimate of travel and living expenses.

Application process
Eligible applicants must complete the online application form which requires:
- details of your proposed itinerary;
- a 300-500 word statement describing how you would use this scholarship and how it would positively impact your academic work;
- travel and budget details;
- an academic reference or relevant professional letter of support;
- current academic record or transcript; and,
- any other information to support the application that may assist the selection committee in making its decision.

When will I know the outcome?
Applicants will be advised of the outcome via email 8-10 weeks after the closing date.

About the donor
Lizette Bentwitch
Lizette Bentwich, who passed away in 1954, left a bequest to the University for the establishment of a scholarship or scholarships in memory of her beloved parents, Maurice and Elizabeth Bentwitch, to bear the name ‘Lizette Bentwitch’ for students of either Music or for any other branch of the Humanities.
