Summary

The Marion Thomas Award is offered to students with the most outstanding performance in Jazz and Improvisation or Interactive Composition and contribution to musical activities in the Victorian community. Preference is given to students who are experiencing financial need.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered, you must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Music or Master of Music,  specialising in Jazz and Improvisation or Interactive Composition.

Selection criteria

The award is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their course weighted average, overall performance, and contribution to the Victorian musical community. Preference is given to students who are experiencing financial need if ranked tenth or higher.

Conditions

Students must agree to the University sharing their name and the name of their course with the donor, and to provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
