Summary

The Mary W. Wilson Prize is awarded to the graduate who has demonstrated the most outstanding performance in studies related to beef cattle. The prize was first awarded in 1967 and is in memory of Mrs. Mary Wilson who, with her husband Bill, ran a very successful Angus Stud ("Roseneath") at Lancefield. Bill Wilson was a President of the Victorian Graziers' Association and was one of the prominent people whose efforts in fundraising were instrumental in re-establishing the Veterinary School at the University of Melbourne in 1962.
