Summary
This scholarship, worth up to $20,000, supports high-ranking first-year Painting students in the discipline of Art who are in need of financial assistance to continue their course.
Benefits
A one-off payment of approximately $5,000 to each recipient.
To accept this scholarship, successful recipients are required to write a letter of thanks and provide an artistic biography for the donors or trustees. On occasion recipients will be contacted to provide a progress report.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- be a first-year Painting student in the School of Art, Faculty of Fine Arts and Music
- demonstrate financial need
- demonstrate excellent results in studies to date
Selection criteria
Eligible applicants will be assessed on:
- artistic merit
- academic merit
- career aspirations
- financial need
- likely success in completing the proposed course of study.
Applicants will be assessed by the Director and Dean, on recommendation from the Head of School.

You must submit the Student Financial Assessment form (as linked below) . If you have already done this in round 1 (which closed 10 March 2025) and your circumstances have not changed then no need to do it again this round.
