Summary
The MBS Deputy Dean Awards were established by the Faculty of Business and Economics to acknowledge Academic Excellence and Community Leadership. The awards recognise high achieving graduate students at the Melbourne Business School who demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and strong community engagement, both within and outside the University both during and prior to their MBS study period.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this award, you must:
- be enrolled in one of the following Masters programs at the Melbourne Business School:
- Master of Management suite of programs
- Master of International Business
- Master of Finance
- Master of Economics
- Master of Entrepreneurship
- Master of Actuarial Science
- Master of Applied Econometrics
- have a minimum WAM of 75% in your MBS degree
- be in the final year of study of your MBS degree
Current scholarship holders are eligible to apply.
Selection criteria
MBS Deputy Dean Awards are awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements, community engagement and leadership. The awards are bestowed on the recommendation of the Selection Panel.

How to apply
When the scholarship is open for applications, click on the “Submit an application” link, below. Your application will require:
- A cover letter (maximum 2 pages) outlining your:
- outstanding leadership skills, as evidenced by
- significant leading role/s in various organisations, not including those considered part of work duties
- lead projects and initiatives performed successfully, not including those considered part of an assessed subject such as 'business practicum'
- demonstrated strong community engagement and impact, both within and outside the university, as evidenced by
- active continued community engagement and impact in various organisations/roles
- volunteering activities
- outstanding leadership skills, as evidenced by
- Your current resume
- A copy of your current Statement of Results (available from your Student Portal)
- A written proposal of an idea of what you could do to benefit the broader community, outside of the university
