Summary

​​The MDHS Indigenous Research Training Bursary is awarded to Indigenous graduate research students enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences who are experiencing financial difficulties​.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this ​bursary​, you must:

  • Be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person by descent, identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and be accepted as such by the community in which they live or have lived
  • Be enrolled in a graduate research degree with the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences in the year for which the bursary is awarded.

Selection criteria

The ​bursary​ is offered to the eligible candidate(s) ranked highest ​by the selection panel based on​ their application.

In the interest of equitable distribution of scholarships, other scholarships or prizes received from the University by candidates are considered.

Conditions

​​This bursary is subject to the MDHS Graduate Research Trust Scholarships Terms and Conditions. In addition, recipients must affirm and maintain their eligibility for support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. See: Establishing your eligibility
