Summary

​​The MDHS Indigenous Student Resources Bursary is awarded to Indigenous students who are enrolled in a coursework program in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences and supports the purchase of study materials.

Benefits

​This ​bursary​ provides an allowance of $500 per year for the full-time duration of the course, paid in equal instalments of  $250. The first payment will be made shortly after enrolment in your course.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this ​bursary​, you must:

  • Be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person by descent, identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and be accepted as such by the community in which you live or have lived
  • Be enrolled in a coursework program in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences in the year for which the bursary is awarded.

The ​bursary​ is offered to all eligible candidates.

Conditions

​​This bursary cannot be deferred. In addition, recipients must:

  • ​Affirm and maintain their eligibility for support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. See: Establishing your Eligibility
  • ​Maintain enrolment in a coursework program in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences.​
