Summary
The MDHS Indigenous Student Resources Bursary is awarded to Indigenous students who are enrolled in a coursework program in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences and supports the purchase of study materials.
Benefits
This bursary provides an allowance of $500 per year for the full-time duration of the course, paid in equal instalments of $250. The first payment will be made shortly after enrolment in your course.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this bursary, you must:
- Be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person by descent, identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and be accepted as such by the community in which you live or have lived
- Be enrolled in a coursework program in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences in the year for which the bursary is awarded.
Selection criteria
The bursary is offered to all eligible candidates.
Conditions
This bursary cannot be deferred. In addition, recipients must:
- Affirm and maintain their eligibility for support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. See: Establishing your Eligibility
- Maintain enrolment in a coursework program in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences.
