Summary
The MDHS Scholarship Fund - Rural Health (Indigenous MPH Facilitation Bursary) was established to support Indigenous students, undertaking part time University of Melbourne Master of Public Health, with local academic support through the Department of Rural Health in Shepparton.
This funds for this bursary are supported from the THE MEDICINE, DENTISTRY AND HEALTH SCIENCES SCHOLARSHIPS FUND
Benefits
The amount of support will depend on an assessment of financial need, and will vary from $1,000.00 to $4,000.00 per year. Within the limits of resources available and size of the bursaries, multiple bursaries will be made available.

Eligibility
Applications are open to Indigenous students, with family care responsibilities, undertaking a part time Master of Public Health, with local academic support through the Department of Rural Health in Shepparton.
Selection criteria
The student will need to demonstrate extent of family carer responsibilities, the degree of financial hardship and how the award of a bursary will facilitate the completion of the degree.

How to apply
Eligible students must submit:
- An online Financial Aid Grant application by the closing date, AND
- Submit a completed scholarship application form that includes a 500 word(maximum) statement about your family carer responsibilities, the degree of financial hardship and how the bursary will support you to finish your Masters in Public Health to Department of Rural Health by email: aboriginal-health@unimelb.edu.au
