The Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre Startup Competition Prizes is supported by Industry Partners and is awarded to teams of graduate researchers with the most outstanding pitches at the Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre Startup Competition Finals Pitching event.
Benefits
First prize provides a one-off payment of $5000 per team.
Second prize provides a one-off payment of $3500 per team.
Third prize provides a one-off payment of $2000 per team.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this prize, you must:
- Be enrolled in a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne
- Be finalists from the preliminary round of the Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre Startup Competition
- Pitch live for up to three minutes and engage in a question-and-answer session of up to two to three minutes.
Selection criteria
The prize is offered to the eligible candidate(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their presentation across Problem, Customer, Solution, Business Model, Team and Pitch criteria.
