Open to currently enrolled Melbourne Law School JD or Melbourne Law Masters students seeking financial assistance to help meet travel and accommodation expenses incurred due to eligible enrichment opportunities undertaken during their studies.This scholarship is awarded on the basis of financial need.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be a domestic or international student
  • Be admitted and enrolled in the Melbourne JD, or Melbourne Law Masters program at Melbourne Law School

Melbourne JD students must be undertaking one of the following approved international or Interstate opportunities:

Melbourne Law Masters students must be undertaking one of the following approved international opportunities:

Students undertaking Independent Study Abroad opportunities are not eligible to apply for this funding.

Students are only able to receive Melbourne Law School Mobility Funding once during their studies.

Selection criteria

This scholarship is awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need.

The award is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their financial assessment score and personal statements.

Note: Students who wish to be eligible for scholarships that consider financial need must submit the University of Melbourne’s Student Financial Assessment form prior to submitting their application for Melbourne Law School scholarships.

How to apply

Applicants must submit both the Student Financial Assessment Form and an application to Melbourne Law School during the application period.

Apply with MLS

Applications submitted to Melbourne Law School without an accompanying Student Financial Assessment Form submission will not be considered.

When will I know the outcome?

Recipients will receive their outcome approximately one month after applications close.
