Summary

The Michael Sitzler Scholarship was established with a gift from Michael Sitzler and is awarded to domestic students who are enrolled in the Master of Construction Management and are either an Indigenous student, or a student from the Northern Territory, or a student from a regional or remote area of Australia.

Benefits

This scholarship provides a living allowance of $10,000 per year for up to 2 years for the 200-point masters, or 3 years for the 300-point masters, paid in instalments of $5000 in April and September.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent visa
  • Have applied for and meet the requirement for the Master of Construction Management under Graduate Access Melbourne
  • Identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, or be from the Northern Territory, or be from a regional or remote area of Australia

Selection criteria

The scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest based on their Graduate Access Melbourne (GAM) score, first to students who are Indigenous Australians and who are from the Northern Territory, then to students who are from the Northern Territory, and then to students who are Indigenous Australians or who are from regional or remote areas of Australia.

Conditions

This scholarship is subject to the University Coursework ScholarshipsTerms and Conditions and cannot be deferred to the following year. In addition:

  • Students must agree to the University providing their name and course details to the donor of their scholarship and provide a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested
  • Indigenous students must affirm and maintain their eligibility for support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. See: Confirming your eligibility
