The MSPS Interstate and Remote Placement Scholarship was established to support Master of Psychology students on placement as part of their training towards professional registration.

Benefits

Recipients may receive funding of up to a maximum of $1,000 per scholarship.

Recipients of the award receive a one-off payment to support expenses incurred whilst undertaking placement.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered eligible for this scholarship, you must be:

  • Enrolled in a Master of Psychology course, and
  • Undertaking a rural or interstate placement.

Selection criteria

This award is offered to the student/s ranked highest by the selection panel based on:

  • Placement location (i.e. rural or interstate)
  • Budget for accommodation arrangements (e.g. staying with family, completely self-funded)
  • Budget for travel costs

Conditions

The scholarship cannot be deferred – this is consistent with the course offer not be available for deferment. The students must be undertaking placement or about to commence placement to be eligible for the award.
