Summary

The Nell Norris Fellowship was established with a gift from Eleanor Norris and is awarded to talented graduate researchers who are enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy - Architecture.

Benefits

The scholarship provides:

  • A fortnightly stipend of $39,500 per year (2026 pro-rata rate) for up to 3.5 years. The stipend may be indexed annually and includes limited paid sick, parenting and partner leave.
  • A one-off relocation grant of $2,000 for students moving from States or Territories other than Victoria or $3,000 for students moving from outside Australia.
  • A Visa length Overseas Student Health Cover (single membership) for students who require a student visa to study in Australia.

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, your must have applied for and meet the requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy - Architecture.

Selection criteria

Eligible applicants are assessed based on academic merit. One scholarship is awarded to each year level of the architecture program.

Conditions

This scholarship is subject to the University's Graduate Research Scholarship Terms and Conditions and may be deferred to the following year with prior approval from the University.
