Summary
The Nikolaos and Dimitra Pantelis Travelling Scholarship is offered to candidates within the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne who undertake research in schizophrenia.
About the donor
In 2018, the University gratefully received a donation from Professor Christos Pantelis and Mrs Kimberley Pantelis to establish the Nikolaos and Dimitra Pantelis Travelling Scholarship in honour of Christos’ parents.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must be a graduate research student undertaking schizophrenia research, within the Department of Psychiatry, to present at a national or international conference, and/or to work in an internationally recognised lab.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the eligible candidates(s) ranked highest by selection panel based on their application and their:
- Potential to make a significant contribution to schizophrenia research and approaches
- Capacity to communicate complex ideas and theory, and to undertake research in a clinical setting.
Conditions
- Travel must be undertaken in the year that the travelling scholarship is awarded.
- The Travelling scholarship recipient will be required to make a presentation and submit a written report on the outcomes of their scholarship.
