Summary

​​The Norman Westmore Memorial Prize was established with a gift from the St Barbara's Brown Coal Mining Fraternity and Mrs AM Westmore and is awarded to students who submit the best research or design project related to mining engineering in the final year of their engineering graduate coursework degree.​

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this ​prize​, you must:

  • Be in your final year of a graduate coursework degree in engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology in the year for which the scholarship is awarded
  • Have completed the subject IE Research Project 2 or Engineering Capstone Project 2 (or their successors) and submitted a research or design project related to mining engineering.

Selection criteria

The ​prize​ is offered to the eligible student(s) ranked highest ​based on​ their mark for the subject IE Research Project or Engineering Capstone Project 2 (or their successors).

In the event of tie, the prize will be split equally.
