Summary

The PhD Scholarship - Learning with the Land is estblished by the Melbourne Graduate School of Education who seek expressions of interest from eligible graduates who wish to undertake a Learning with the Land, PhD with Dr Kathryn Coleman and Dr Sarah Healy. This funded PhD is an opportunity to explore the potential of speculative a/r/tography for a spectrum of novel, decolonial, unconventional, disruptive, and innovative approaches to creative knowledge production and research-creation.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Satisfy the School’s PhD entry requirements of a grade average in excess of 80% (H1) or equivalent
  • Commence in 2023
  • Be enrolled full-time
  • Be an Australian or permanent resident

Selection criteria

Applicants will be considered based on:

  • A research proposal stating the rationale, aims, conceptual framework and methodological design of your PhD project. The proposal should be approx. 5000 words (excluding references)
  • Curriculum vitae – with a focus on previous research and professional experience, current educational qualifications, research and professional publications
  • Academic transcript
  • Two referee letters
