Summary
The Professor Kernot Research Scholarship in Chemistry was established with gifts from William Charles Kernot, Roderick Esdaile and Susan Angela Esdaile and is awarded to students who are enrolled in a graduate research degree in the School of Chemistry and have achieved the highest course WAM for Master of Science (Chemistry) or Bachelor of Science (Degree with Honours) in Chemistry at the University of Melbourne.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be enrolled in a graduate research degree in the School of Chemistry
- Have completed the Master of Science (Chemistry) or Bachelor of Science (Degree with Honours) in Chemistry at the University of Melbourne
- Not have received the Huntsman Australia Award for Research Excellence, the Chemistry Research Excellence Award, or the Dixson Scholarship in Chemistry.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the eligible student(s) ranked highest based on their Weighted Average Mark (WAM) for the Master of Science (Chemistry) or Bachelor of Science (Degree with Honours) in Chemistry.
In the event of a tie, the scholarship will be split equally.
Conditions
Recipients must agree to the University providing their name and course details to the donor of their scholarship and provide a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
