This prize is awarded to a student who has completed the Master of Mathematics and Statistic and undertaken a substantial research component that significantly aligns to the discipline of Pure or Applied Mathematics, on the basis of academic merit.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria


    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • Have matriculated from the Master of Science (Mathematics and statistics) program at the University of Melbourne,
    • Complete an original memoir on a subject in Pure or Applied Mathematics

    Selection criteria

    Eligible candidates will be ranked based on:

    • Academic merit,
    • Examiner reports,
    • Original memoir on some subject in Pure or Applied Mathematics
