Summary
The PSA Insurance Scholarship for Medicine and Dentistry supports enrolling graduate coursework domestic students undertaking the Doctor of Medicine and the Doctor of Dental Surgery who are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances. Preference is given to students who are from a regional or remote area of Victoria, then Australia, and are in financial need.
Benefits
The scholarship provides a living allowance of $10,000 per year for up to three years, paid in half-yearly instalments of $5,000 in April and September.

Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Intend to commence studies in either the Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Melbourne
- Be an Australian citizen
- Be experiencing disadvantaged circumstances
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the eligible candidate(s) ranked highest by the Melbourne Medical School Scholarships and Bursary Allocation Committee based on their Student Financial Assessment.

When will I know the outcome?
Students will be notified of the student bursary outcomes 6 weeks after applications have closed.
In order to maintain eligibility for this scholarship, students are expected to maintain Good Academic Standing each year for the duration of their degree. It is also hoped that the recipients will meet with the donor on occasion.
