Association of Commonwealth Universities: Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships

Launched in 2018, the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships offer a life-changing opportunity for cultural exchange and academic collaboration. The scholarships provide opportunities to study for a two-year Master's degree in unique environments across the globe. Through this experience you will travel to a new country, develop an appreciation and understanding of a new culture, work in a new academic environment and build a global network.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • Have already completed your degree and have graduated with an equivalent of a 2:1 at the time of application. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree of at least the upper second level.
    • Applicants must apply for a Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarship award in a country other than their home country/country of citizenship. The awards are only hosted by low and middle income countries.

  • Application process

    As the academic calendar differs across the globe, with some courses starting in July-October and others starting in January-February, applications for Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships are offered twice per year.

    Before you apply, check the Association of Commonwealth Universities website to see which universities and countries offer courses in your subject area. You will need to identify a host and course to learn when the scholarship application window will open, as the country you wish to study in will determine when you need to apply.
