Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this award, you must
- Be enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine
- Complete a General Practice placement within the subjects of Foundations for Clinical Practice, Principles of Clinical Practice 3, MD Discovery 4: Clinical Scholar and Transition to Practice.
Selection criteria
Awarded to the student who is ranked second overall based on nominations submitted by clinical placement supervisors at the conclusion of General Practice placements in the following Doctor of Medicine subjects:
- Foundations for Clinical Practice
- Principles of Clinical Practice 3
- MD Discovery 4: Clinical Scholar
- Transition to Practice
Selection is determined by three criteria:
- GP nominations regarding engagement in practice and workshops
- Assessment of professional behaviour
- Academic performance.
If a single recipient cannot be determined using the above criteria, the Selection Committee will use student examination results to determine the recipient.
