Summary
The RD Phillips Bursary was established with a gift from Royal Daniel Phillips and is awarded to students who are enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine and are experiencing immediate financial disadvantage.
About the donor
The RD Phillips Bursary is established by the late Royal Daniel Phillips, who was a corporal in the Light Horse Regiment in WW1.
Benefits
This scholarship provides a living allowance of $12,000 a year for two years, paid in half-yearly instalments of $6000 in April and September.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this bursary, you must be enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the eligible candidate(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their financial need using the approved University Student Financial Assessment process.
In the event of a tie, the bursary will be split equally.
Conditions
This scholarship cannot be deferred. In addition, recipients must agree to the University providing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation and a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship by submitting an official statement of thanks.
