The Rejane Langlois Travel Bursary was established with a gift from Rejane Louise Langlois and is offered to students who are undertaking travel as part of their graduate research degree in the field of Medical Engineering.

This scholarship provides a one-off payment of $5000 to $10,000 (depending on proposed budget and travel activities).

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be enrolled in a graduate research degree in Medical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and IT
  • Have met the requirements for confirmation of your candidature.

Selection criteria

The scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their application.

Conditions

Students must:

  • Undertake the travel for which the funding has been awarded within twelve months of receiving the scholarship payment
  • Agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a brief report on the activities undertaken using the scholarship funds.

How to apply

You  must submit an application and include:

  • A personal statement addressing your research to date and its contribution to a medical engineering related field, details of the proposed travel and the impact on the applicant’s research outcomes, and your motivation to undertake an ambassadorial role
  • An itemised budget.

Please note: Applicants approved for travel are required to register for Study Away.
