The Richard WS Nicholas Agricultural Science Scholarship was established with a gift from Richard William Sutton Nicholas and is offered to students enrolled in a graduate research degree in Agricultural Science to promote research into conditions pertaining to the State of Victoria.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy – Science or Master of Philosophy - Agricultural Sciences (or their successors)
- Have met requirements for confirmation of your candidature
- Be undertaking research related to agricultural conditions in the State of Victoria.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on the quality of their application. In the interests of equitable distribution of scholarships, other scholarships or prizes received by students are considered.
Conditions
This is scholarship is subject to the University's Graduate Research Scholarship Terms and Conditions and cannot be deferred to the following year. In addition, students must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation and a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
