Summary
The Ron and Naomi Freedman Memorial Award was established with a gift from Naomi Freedman and is offered to students who are enrolled in the second or third year of the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Music Theatre) and are experiencing immediate disadvantaged circumstances. Preference is given to high-achieving students.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this award, you must be enrolled in the second or third year of the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Music Theatre) (or its successor)
Selection criteria
The award is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their financial assessment score and personal statement. Preference is given to students with the most outstanding artistic performance during rehearsals, classes and concerts, if ranked third or higher. In the interests of equitable distribution of scholarships, other scholarships or prizes from the University of Melbourne received by students are considered.
Conditions
Students must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.

How to apply
You must submit the Student Financial Assessment form (as linked below) . If you have already done this in round 1 (which closed 10 March 2025) and your circumstances have not changed then no need to do it again this round.
