The S.F. Pond Travelling Scholarship was established by Samuel Austin Frank Pond and is offered to students who are enrolled in a graduate degree in Forest Science and undertaking travel related to their study or research.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • be enrolled in the Master of Ecosystem Management and Conservation (or its successor), or
    • be enrolled in a masters degree by research or a doctor of philosophy in Forest Science,
    • have met the requirements for confirmation of their candidature, and have not consumed more than 3 years (full-time equivalent) of candidature

    Conditions: Students must complete the proposed travel and provide a report on completion of the proposed travel.

    Note:  Graduate Researchers need to apply for Study Away if travelling for research-related activities away from the University.

    Selection criteria

    The award is offered to the eligible student who is ranked highest by the selection panel based on their personal statement and statement of support from their supervisor.

    Students who have not received this award in the past will be given preference.
