The Sarah Schick Award was established with a gift from Plenary Group Holdings Pty Ltd and is offered to talented students who are enrolled in the third year of the Bachelor of Commerce (Finance), identify as a woman or non-binary, and can demonstrate leadership experience and potential.
About the donor
Plenary Group Holdings Pty Ltd established this award in honour of Sarah Schick, a former Director for Plenary in Australia.
Benefits
This award provides a living allowance of $10,000 for one year, paid in half-yearly instalments after the census dates in Semester 1 and 2.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this award, you must:
- Be enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce and majoring in Finance.
- Be enrolling into your 3rd year of study in 2026 as a full time student and have completed at least 200 points of study and ideally no more than 212.5.
- Have completed or be enrolled in a minimum of three Finance subjects.
- Identify as a woman (cis-gender or trans women) or non-binary.
Selection criteria
The award is offered to the student ranked highest by the selection panel based on their application and Weighted Average Mark (WAM).
Conditions
This award cannot be deferred. Students must:
- Be enrolled in their 3rd year of the Bachelor of Commerce
- Agree to the University sharing their name and the name of their course with the donor of this scholarship and, if requested, provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship.
Please also ensure that you have completed the recommended sequence of subjects in Year 1 and Year 2 of the BCom to enable you to Major in Finance in your 3rd year in 2026. Here is the sequence of Year 3 subjects required to Major in Finance as per the BCom Study Planner 2025:
